Durant Snow Emergency requires vehicles be moved
A Snow Emergency was declared Saturday evening, March 1, 2014 for Durant, Iowa.
The Snow Emergency was set to last 24 hours for the community. During that time drivers were asked to move their vehicles off all streets so plows could get through for clearing.
Cars may be subject to ticketing during this time if they are not moved. Cars may also be “plowed in” if they are on the streets when plows go by.
Durant’s mayor said crews will likely begin plowing between 2 – 3 a.m.
