Tomorrow is opening day for Putnam Museum and Science Center's new exhibit, CSI: The Experience.

The exhibit is based off the hit TV series CSI and makes the visitor the star.

"From the moment you walk into CSI: The Experience, you become the investigator. No matter what your age or your experience in real life, in here, you're reporting to Grissom," said Kim Findlay, CEO of Putnam Museum and Science Center.

There is plenty of hands-on interaction at this exhibit. Visitors are assigned a case when they walk in and tour through different crime scenes, such as a car crashing through a house or a dead woman in an alley. By the end of the exhibit, organizers hope their guests have solved the crime at hand.

"This is a great way not to lecture about the fact that you use science and math everyday, but to, in a fun way, demonstrate that all of us use science and math everyday," said Findlay.

Findlay added that CSI: The Experience exhibit was truly a "Quad Cities labor of love" and was made possible through donations from John Deere and Scott County Regional Authority.

The exhibit is open to the public on Saturday, March 1. Tickets are on sale, $18 for adults, $16 for students/seniors/military/Putnam members, and $13 for kids.
