The Davenport City Council could approve a beer license for the River's Edge in Davenport on Wednesday, February 26th, 2014.

City leaders are looking to sell beer only at the facility. The city bought the building in 2010. Before then, it was called the Quad City Sports Center, and alcohol was served there. The River's Edge has both ice skating and indoor soccer facilities for athletes to use.

Youth hockey organizers apparently don't agree with the idea. They worry it may cause more disruption in the stands.

The Quad City Times is reporting that city leaders are considering a three drink maximum at the building. Each time a person gets a beer, they'd also get a wristband that shows how many beers they've had.

The Davenport City Council meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. There is no word on when the beer license would take effect.
