Teen Caught Selling Drugs to Undercover Agent

A Rock Falls, Illinois teen is out on bail tonight after police say he sold drugs to an undercover cop.

Investigators with the Sterling Police Department say Richard Sotelo, 19, tried to make the deal on Friday, February 21st, 2014 in the parking lot of the Farm and Fleet at 3913 E. Lincolnway in Sterling, Illinois.

Polices say he sold "what was purported to be a half ounce of cannabis to an agent of the Sterling Police Department."

The street value of the purchased marijuana was $145, according to police.

Sotelo was arrested and charged with Unlawful Delivery of Cannabis, a Class 4 Felony, and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, a Class A Misdemeanor.
