It's a sport that probably takes some practice - running in a dress. However, participants say it's worth it.

The 4th Annual Red Dress Run took place on Saturday, February 22nd, 2014. It's organized every year by the Quad City Hash House Harriers.

Nearly 250 women and men put on their best red dress to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project. The charity was chosen in honor of Flynn Schulz, an Iraq War veteran and former "hasher" who died in August 2013.

"We hope we make a big impact on the lives of our soldiers that come back from overseas and just anything we can do to help out our local vets," says runner Lindsey Demuynck. "We're all about that."

Last year, the run raised nearly $2,000 for the American Heart Association.
