If you love baseball and want to make some extra money this summer, the Quad Cities River Bandits have a job for you.

On Saturday, February 22nd, 2014, the minor league baseball team held a job fair at Modern Woodmen Park.

People applied for a variety of positions in areas like customer service and concessions.

"The first experience a fan has in our ballpark is not going to be with one of our full-time staff members," General Manager Andrew Chesser says. "It's with the person taking their parking ticket information or the person selling tickets at the gates or tearing their ticket or the person they buy their food from."

"It's really important that we have fun, outgoing, charismatic people there because at the end of the day those are the people that really sum up the fun family experience we have going on out here at the ballpark."

Chesser adds that offering jobs to local residents is an opportunity to give back.

"We're able to support the community and support the economy," he says. "Today, we're looking to hire about 75 people so that's an impact we hope to make on 75 different individuals throughout the community that are hard working, outgoing, fun people that can convey the message we want to convey to our fans."

If you missed today's job fair, Chesser says can still stop by Modern Woodmen Park and pick up an application.
