John Deere has become a corporate sponsor for professional golfer and Iowa native Zach Johnson.
Johnson is the seventh-ranked player in the official World Golf Rankings. He won the John Deere Classic in 2012 and has played in the tournament 12 consecutive years.
Johnson is also a member of the John Deere Classic tournament's executive committee.
As part of the multi-year deal, the John Deere trademark will be displayed on Johnson's golf bag at all events he plays during the sponsorship deal.
Johnson was born in Iowa City and raised in Cedar Rapids.
