Police Investigating Two Attempted Child Abductions

PRESTON, Iowa — Police are investigating two attempted child abductions that happened Friday, February 14th, 2014.

Investigators say the first one happened around 6pm. They say a seven-year-old girl said a man in dark clothing tried to grab her by the shoulder, but she was able to get away.

The second incident happened around 9pm. Police say two 13-year-old boys said they were approached by a white man, but they also got away. Investigators say the boys describe him as around 6-feet-tall and in his late 30s to early 40s.

Police say both incidents happened on DeGroat Street in Preston, Iowa.
