The city of Rock Falls restored water service Friday, February 14, 2014 at 8:30 am, according to Rock Falls Police.  The 12th Ave. Pump Station was fully functional.  A boil order will remain in effect until Sunday morning. The boil order is in effect because of a pump failure that happened on Thursday, February 13th, 2014 that led to the city shutting off all water.

Distribution of bottled water will continue at four locations: Rock Falls High School, Middle School, Thome School and the Rock Falls Community Building.

Portable restroom facilities will also be available at these four locations until water service is restored.

Classes are cancelled Friday at the Rock Falls School District and the neighboring East Coloma-Nelson School District.
