One minute he’s on a bicycle, the next minute he’s on the ground.
A man reportedly facing outstanding warrants for his arrest was tackled as he tried to make a getaway on a bicycle.
Michael Kennedy, 19, was tackled as he rode that bicycle right next to a police officer Monday, February 10, 2014. Police said they had a helicopter in the air, and a perimeter established around the area, after Kennedy allegedly fled from another officer at a nearby light rail station.
Kennedy allegedly hid in the garage of a home and then took a road bike that he used to try to make his escape.
A crew from KOVR-TV in Sacramento was in the right place at the right time, and captured video of the incident, as police and a bystander subdued Kennedy.
