Name released of woman struck and killed in Silvis

Police have released the name of the woman who was reportedly killed by a drunk driver in Silvis.

Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson said 54-year-old Deborah L. Goodwin died of multiple traumatic injuries.

Officials said Goodwin was a pedestrian when she was struck on the ramp from Route 84 to westbound John Deere Road just before 3 a.m. Sunday, February 9, 2014.

Police said 30-year-old Moses Clemente was the alleged driver of a 2006 Dodge Charger that struck the woman. He was accused of aggravated driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

Clemente was held in the Rock Island County Jail.
