From compact cars to full-size trucks, more than 150 vehicles are all together at Davenport's River Center this weekend as thousands flock to the 20th Annual Iowa-Illinois Regional Auto Show.
Some are roped off, too expensive and rare to even touch.
"What can I say, everyone deserves to have a Viper," said Rick Gilbreath, Sales “Viper Specialist” at Kimberly Davenport.
Others have their doors unlocked; the driver’s seat open to anyone who wants a look inside.
"It's a way to maybe sit in a car you thought you could never sit in,” said Susan Shrader, event coordinator.
The numbers on the price tags differ, but there is one thing all these brands are working on improving.
"Everything's all about this modern technology,” said Shrader.
"If my smart phone can do it, my new cars will do it,” said Gilbreath,
Some of the technology is visible, some is harder to see, and some can only be used in the dead of night.
“The night vision will see almost 1,000 feet in the dark and transmit it to your display here,” said Brandon Pribyl, Client Advisor at Kimberly BMW of Davenport.
For safety or fun, this technology is putting all of the cars in the spot light.
The Auto Show is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It is also from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $8 for adults, $3 for children. Kids six and under are free.
