You don't have to travel far to be part of winter sports in February.
Ski Snowstar in Andalusia, Illinois will host its "For the Fun of It" slalom course races on Monday evenings in February from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The races happen on a modified giant slalom course and are open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages.
Results are posted about an hour after the races end, and they plan to award special prizes on the last night of the races, February 24.
Entry is $5.
