A body was reportedly found in Davenport’s Centennial Park.
The discovery was reported Tuesday afternoon, January 21, 2014. Police on the scene confirmed the discovery but offered no other information about it.
Initial information indicated the body was that of a woman, found near the spray grounds on the west side of the park at S. Marquette Street and Biederbecke Drive.
The coroner had reportedly been summoned to that location at about 4 p.m.
Police had reportedly closed access to the park. Biederbecke Drive was closed to thru traffic along the south side of the park.
Posts on the Facebook page for the Quad Cities Missing Persons Network, as well as on a page dedicated to the search for Carrie Olson, indicated family members had confirmed the remains found in Centennial Park were not Carrie.
