A community came together to celebrate the efforts of the Greater Quad City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The annual Gala was held at the Waterfront Convention Center in Bettendorf on Saturday, January 18, 2014.

The event included awards, a silent auction, and a keynote speaker. The 2014 speaker was CEO of AT&T Mobility, Ralph De La Vega.

Vice President of Government Relations and Diversity, Alfred Ramirez said that the Gala signifies the role that the Greater Q.C. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce plays in the community.

“We’re more than a chamber,” said Ramirez, “we’re looking to connect education and training to careers.”

This was the event’s fifth year. Founder and Chairman of Group O, Rob Ontiveros said he was happy with the amount of people who came to the event, despite the snowy weather.
