600 East Moline residents woke up without power Monday, January 6th, 2014.

It happened around 4 a.m. in the Watertown area. It took crews the longest to restore power east of 40th Street along Morton Drive. As of about 10:30 a.m., there were still 50 people without power, according to Mid-American Energy's website.

In response to the power outage, residents opened up two different warming centers in the city. One of them is the East Moline Fire Station. It's at 1523 Morton Drive. That center will be open all day on Monday.

The other warming center is the Community Out Reach Church at 319 12th Street. That's only open until noon Monday.

As of 10:30 a.m., no one had used either center. Organizers say they opened up the warming centers if people needed them.
