Snow storms and record-breaking weekend cold temperatures contributed to travel challenges across the U.S.

A winter weather advisory, as well as wind chill and winter storm warnings, were in place Sunday for all counties in and around the Quad Cities.

Several departures were cancelled Sunday, January 5, 2014, including at least four flights to Chicago.

Five Sunday departures bound for Chicago were also cancelled by about 8:30 a.m.

Flights departing from the Quad Cities for Detroit and for Denver were also delayed, and at least one flight to Denver was cancelled.

Several flights between Chicago and Des Moines were also cancelled Sunday.
