Walmart has recalled more than 73,000 card table and chair sets after 10 reports of injuries,  including finger amputations, after chairs collapsed.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports Walmart recalled approximately 73,400 of the five-piece black padded metal card table and chair sets, sold under the Mainstays brand.  The sets sold at Walmart stores nationwide and on walmart.com between May and November 2013 for about $50.

The CPSC recall notice says the chairs can collapse unexpectedly, posing a risk for falls and possible finger injury.

Walmart has received ten reports of injuries from the collapsing chairs, including “one finger amputation, three fingertip amputations, sprained or fractured fingers and one report of a sore back,” according to the notice.

“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled card table and chair sets and return the entire set to Walmart for a full refund,” the notice said.
