Four kids, ranging in age from 11 to 14 years old, face criminal charges in connection with a home burglary in Dixon, Illinois.
Police said they were called to a possible break-in at a home in the 800 block of Madison Avenue just after 3 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013.
Officers said they caught four juveniles after the kids ran from the back of the house.
A 13-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl were arrested and charged with residential burglary, criminal damage to property over $500 and criminal trespass to a residence. The three were held in a juvenile facility in Peoria.
An 11-year-old girl was also charged with criminal trespass to a residence. She was arrested and later released to her parents.
Police did not indicate whether anything had been taken from the home.
