New Years Eve is not until Tuesday, December 31st, 2013, but some in the Quad Cities are toasting to 2013 today.

On Sunday, December 29th, 2013, the German American Heritage Center held a New Year's Tea Toast at Once Upon a Tea Tyme in Davenport's West Kimberly Mall.

People of all ages enjoyed some tea and treats as they reflected on this year and got ready for next year at a unique place in the Quad Cities.

"There's not anything in the area to go and have an hour, an hour and a half of magic," says Deanna Williams, Part-Owner of Once Upon a Tea Tyme. "You can just pretend that you're an elegant Victorian and have a nice lunch. It's great for groups and organizers just to come and have a fun. It's a different sort of time."

Today's event was a benefit for the German American Heritage Center, which is located in downtown Davenport at the base of the Centennial Bridge.
