A recent snowfall and some warmer temperatures equal great business for a local winter sports park.
Ski Snowstar in Andalusia offers 28 acres of skiable terrain for beginners, intermediate, and advanced athletes. There is also a tubing hill on site and a lodge for the hungry, thirsty, cold or wiped-out.
Those who work their say the hill consumes their time, but it’s because they want to be there, not because they have to.
“Once the season starts we’re pretty much together until March,” said one employee.
Employees described the work environment as friendly and productive.
“We hang out all winter, we’re always progressing together,” said another Snowstar employee. “We’re always pushing each other to do better.”
The slopes are open Sunday through Thursday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. Click here for rates.
