A surprise for those looking to dine out in Davenport when they found the doors closed on a relatively new restaurant.
Customers pulled up to Pepperjacks Restaurant and Lounge in Davenport expecting to get dinner, but what they found were lights off and a sign saying "Restaurant closed. Thank you for your patronage," on Friday, December 27, 2013.
It came as a surprise, especially to regular customers who say they had just eaten there days before. Pepperjacks has only been open for a year. Cheddar restaurant was there before, they also closed.
No details have been released yet why the restaurant is closed and if its permanent. The owner couldn't be reached for a comment.
