Police say arrest warrants are out for a man they say stole cash and cell phones from nine people whose belongings were in the visitor’s locker room during an Iowa-Iowa State football game.

Private security was assigned to the area but, after the September 14, 2013 game, nine victims reported items missing from the locker room used by players and coaches by the visiting University of Iowa football team.

Several media reports indicate warrants were issued December 12 for Nicholas Beary, 23, of West Des Moines.  Beary was accused of second-degree theft and second-degree burglary.

An official at Iowa State said Beary once attended the University of Iowa and that he was at the September 14 game as a fan.

ISU Police tweeted information that they thought Beary may have left the country.
