Hundreds upon hundreds of cookies were made at a cook-off at Augustana College.

Augie facilty, staff, and their families gathered Friday, December 20, 2013 for the first Augustana Cookie Cook-off to see who could make the most cookies.

The event was a competition, a fellowship opportunity, and a charity drive, as half of the cookies made were donated to local non-profit organizations.

Director of Dining Services Garry Griffith, who organized the event, said he can see this becoming a yearly tradition.

“This event gives Augustana faculty and staff a chance to connect with others while giving back to the community in a fun, festive environment,” Griffith said.

The Cookie Cook-Off was held in the dining room of the Center for Student Life and the dough and decorations were donated by Performance Food Group.

They hoped to make and decorate as many as 2,000 cookies.
