MSgt Joseph Martel returned home from deployment a month earlier than he was expected.
That gave Martel, and his wife Julia, the perfect opportunity to surprise their son.
Martell went to his son’s football game and dressed out as a player for the opposing team.
When game officials called a time-out to discuss sportsmanship with players from both teams, the surprise – and the deep bond between father and son – were revealed.
