Muscatine couple builds giant Christmas display

Christmas displays are popping up all over the Quad Cities. Inside their garage a Muscatine couple has created a display that was 15 years and thousands of dollars in the making.

Lisa Wagner said when she and her husband Randy got married they really enjoyed Christmas and wanted to make a display to share with friends and family.

“We used to start off with this one little table and now it’s expanded to all of this,” Wagner said.

The display, which they started setting up in September, showcases a village donned with Christmas celebrations including Santa Claus taking pictures with children to a farm scene and a nativity set.

“There’s nothing more fun than getting together and just having a laugh and just seeing people’s face when they walk in our door,” said Wagner. “Their jaws usually drop to the ground.”

The couple gives free tours every Sunday from noon – 5 p.m through the new year. If you’re interested in taking a tour you can call 563-260-0893.
