A Port Byron man was sentenced to 18 months in prison for conspiring to sell over 100 pounds of marijuana.
According to a spokesperson for U.S. Attorney Nicholas Klinefeldt, for roughly two years, from October 2010 to October 2012, 38-year-old Autumn Skelton conspired with others to sell marijuana in the Quad Cities area.
Officials said Skelton and others conspired to transport the marijuana from northern California to the Davenport, Iowa area. Skelton reportedly distributed some to customers in the Port Byron area.
On Thursday, December 19, 2013 officials say Skelton was sentenced to a year-and-a-half in prison. Along with being required to pay $100 to the Crime Victims Fund, after his prison release Skelton will be required to serve three years of supervised release.
