Duck Dynasty family extends support for suspended star

Days after Phil Robertson was suspended from the show Duck Dynasty, his family released a statement showing their support for him.

Posted on Duck Thursday, December 19, 2013 the Robertson family reached-out to say thanks for all the support they have received. The statement said that the family is disappointed that A&E has placed Phil on hiatus for what he said.

“Phil would never incite or encourage hate,” said the statement. “We are disappointed that Phil has been placed on hiatus for expressing his faith, which is his constitutionally protected right.”

The family said they are having discussions with A&E to determine what the future holds for Duck Dynasty.

“We have had a successful working relationship with A&E but, as a family, we cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm,” they said.
