Kids paint stained glass

Students at Garfield Elementary School in Davenport showed off their artistic talents while giving their school a new look.

On Wednesday, December 18, 2013, students painted several large faux stained glass murals that will hang in the school’s new entranceway.

Student Elijah Boyle said “I can’t even think about how to explain it, because it’s just so cool that I have this experience of getting to draw this, and everybody in Garfield to see it.”

The murals included several Quad City landmarks, like the Centennial bridge, the sky bridge, and even the Garfield Elementary mascot “gator.”
