Police: Man shatters window during Clinton break-in

Police say an 18-year-old man shattered a plate glass window when he tried to break into a home in Clinton, Iowa.

Police were sent to investigate the report of someone breaking into a home in the 1100 block of North Fourth Street just after 7 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013.  Police said someone broke out the front plate glass window of the home.

Officers later arrested 18-year-old Donte Samuel Bernard Phillips of Clinton, Iowa.  Phillips was accused of second-degree criminal mischief, criminal trespass and interference with official acts.

Phillips was held in the Clinton County Jail.
