A woman died in a crash after losing control of her vehicle on a snow-covered Henderson County roadway, police say.

According to the Illinois State Police (ISP), 36-year-old Jessica Beasley was heading north on Carman Road in Henderson County on Friday, December 13, 2013 when she "lost control of her vehicle on the snow covered roadway" causing her to spin into on-coming traffic.

Officials say it happened around 3:30 p.m., Beasley was driving a Pontiac Grand Am when she spun into traffic, colliding with a pickup. The pickup struck Beasley's vehicle on the passenger side.

Police said Beasley suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Henderson County Coroner. The driver of the pickup was taken to an area hospital by ambulance and was later released with no injuries.
