A charity program that clothes children in need of assistance has surpassed the $1 million mark.
Raising money for needy children since 1949, the Moline High School Share Joys program has collected over $1 million for their cause.
In 2013 Moline High School staff and students along with the community raised over $46,600 and were able to clothe about 250 area children. The money raised in 2013 put them at a lifelong total of $1,012,612.73.
On Sunday, December 8 the students receiving clothing from the program went to JC Penney in Moline to shop.
