Driver dies in head-on crash near Morrison

Police said a 22-year-old driver died in a head-on crash on Illinois Route 30 near Morrison, Illinois.

The wreck was reported just before 4 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2013.

Police said a car driven by 22-year-old Jesse Jones of Morrison, Illinois was eastbound when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a westbound pickup truck on Route 30 near Hillside Road.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup truck driver and his two passengers were taken by ambulance to an area hospital.  Police did not release information about the nature or severity of their injuries.
