Dixon, Illinois’ even/odd parking rules went into effect Monday, December 9 following a weekend snow storm.
When the parking ordinance is activated, cars inside the Dixon city limits are to park on the odd-numbered side of the road on odd-numbered days and on the even-numbered side of the road on even-numbered days. That allows crews to clear snow from streets in Dixon.
Owners of vehicles in violation of the snow parking ordinance face a $75 fine and possible towing of the vehicle.
The ordinance does not apply to the downtown business district.
The even/odd parking regulation remains in effect on your street until snow has been cleared from your block.
