According to the National Weather Service, the snow storm that hit the area on Sunday, December 8, 2013 was tapering off as the evening went on. They advised that “light snow” would continue throughout the evening, but any additional accumulation would be less than an inch.

The winter weather advisory that was set for counties northwest of the Quad Cities was in effect until midnight Sunday.

Residents within the Quad Cities saw mild to moderate amounts of accumulation in the morning and into the afternoon. Get the latest forecast from StormTrack 8.
