The Village of East Davenport is kicking off the Christmas season with an annual event.

The 36th Annual Christmas Walk started around 6 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013. Many activities were offered in the area, including crafts, face painting, a petting zoo, and more.

Santa Claus, Scrooge, and the Grinch made an appearance at the event, which is the longest running Christmas Walk in the Quad Cities.

The walk was scheduled to last until 9 p.m. where it finishes off with fireworks.

LeClaire also has its own way to spread the holiday spirit- Christmas in LeClaire which runs through Sunday, December 8.

The Christmas in LeClaire event is located on and around Cody Road in the downtown area. Friday the event offered food, drinks, and shopping specials. Breakfast with Santa was scheduled for 8 a.m. on Saturday.
