A bicyclist died from injuries he suffered when he crashed into a pickup truck in Moline, Illinois.
Police said the bicycle was westbound on 36th Avenue when it collided with a Dodge Dakota pickup truck that was southbound on 16th Street around 5 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013.
Witnesses told police the bicyclist ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into the side of the truck.
The intersection was closed for several hours after the wreck. Investigators returned to the scene Friday morning to continue gathering information about the crash.
The man on the bicycle suffered traumatic head injuries and was taken by ambulance to an area hospital where he later died. He was later identified as Mark Wilson, 51, of Colona.
