An intersection in Moline was closed after a bicycle and a pickup collided.
According to the Moline Police Department, shortly after 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2013 a bicyclist traveling westbound on 36th Ave. was hit by a pickup heading southbound on 16th Street.
Sgt. Kevin Cox with the Moline Police Department said it appears that the bicyclist went through a red light.
Cox said the bicyclist was unconscious when Moline Police arrived. The bicyclist was quickly taken to an area hospital via ambulance.
It was expected that the intersection would remain closed for a couple of hours during the investigation.
