QC newspapers to be heaviest on Thanksgiving Day

The Thanksgiving Day paper is the biggest all year, and packed full with Black Friday ads.

Two local newspapers that may show up on your doorstep Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 28, 2013, will be the largest they are all year.

The Rock Island Argus and Dispatch and the Quad City Times told News 8 that their Thanksgiving Day newspapers weigh about 4-pounds. Both papers have hundreds, nearing 1,000 pages, and dozens of ad inserts for Black Friday.

    That’s nothing, The Arizona Daily Star in Tucson, Az had publishes a whopping 6.23 pound paper for Thanksgiving! Now that’s a paper!
