Moline students chow down on donuts for a good cause

Moline High School students stuffed their faces with donuts as a fundraiser helping elementary and middle school-aged kids who need assistance.

Moline High School students stuffed their faces with donuts as a fundraiser.

The event on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 Share Joys, uses money raised to buy clothes for elementary and secondary students who need assistance.

The students ask members of the community to donate money and then they get to the donut contest.

“This is fun in the first place and knowing that all the money that’s raised goes to the kids that are of the less fortunate that need stuff like this just makes it that much more fun,” said MHS student Keaton Christiansen.

In the last 63 years Moline High School has raised over $900,000.
