Two marked police cars were reportedly hit by a wrong-way driver who then left the scene of the crash.

A spokesman for the Clinton, Iowa Police Department said two marked squad cars were legally parked facing westbound in the 500 block of Tenth Avenue South just after 7:30 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2013.

The officers said a dark-colored pickup truck, that was eastbound on Tenth Avenue South, crossed into the westbound lane and struck both patrol cars.

The truck was last seen northbound on South Fifth Street from Tenth Avenue South.

No injuries were reported.

Police say the truck was possibly a 1999 to 2000 full-sized GM pickup truck that is possibly red or maroon in color.  The truck has a crew cab and had a full-sized toolbox in the bed.

Anyone with information about the truck or the crash is asked to call Clinton Police at (563) 243-1458 or Clinton County Crime Stoppers at (888) 883-8015.
