The Sterling Newman Comets prevailed in Class 2A Semifinal over the Mercer County Golden Eagles.
The game on Saturday, November 23, 2013 started out with no score through the 1st quarter.
During the second quarter Sterling Newman scored, making the score 8-0 by the end of the first half. There were no points scored during the third quarter.
The Comets snagged 6 more points in the final quarter, making for a final score of 14-0.
Sterling Newman will go on to the finals against the winner of the Auburn vs. Straunton game. The finals will be held at Huskie Stadium in Dekalb on Friday, November 29 at 1 p.m.
