Street closures, parking bans for Davenport 2013 Festival of Trees Parade

Parking and traffic will be slightly altered in Davenport for the Festival of Trees Parade.

The parade is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10:15 a.m. The parade starts at Pershing Street and travels west on 3rd. The route then travels south on Scott Street and heads back east on 2nd Street.

Streets included in the parade route will be closed Saturday from 9:45 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., according to a spokesperson from the City of Davenport.

There will be no parking permitted in the staging area beginning on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Cars in the area are subject to towing beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday. The staging area is 3rd Street between LeClaire and Pershing Streets and Iowa Street between 2nd and 4th Streets.

There will also be no parking on the parade route beginning Friday at 8 a.m. Towing begins at 8 a.m. Saturday before the parade begins. A small section of Brady Street between 3rd and 4th Streets is included in the temporary parking ban.
