Elementary students dug into some Thanksgiving food a little early.
On Wednesday, November 20, 2013 students at Riverdale Elementary School held their annual Thanksgiving Lunch. During the feast, some students played instruments to celebrate the early festivities.
“It builds a sense of community for the students,” said Principal Josh Temple. “Feeling part of something and belonging, making a connection, it’s an opportunity for some of those kids who maybe wouldn’t have a Thanksgiving dinner of their own to sit down and enjoy something here at the school.”
