Mark Jacobs says he wants to represent Iowa in the U.S. Senate.
Jacobs announced Tuesday, November 19, 2013 that he will seek the Republican nomination for Iowa’s U.S. Senate seat in 2014.
Jacobs made the announcement at a business owned by members of his family in Des Moines. He planned to visit 26 cities in Iowa between November 19 and November 26.
Jacobs was previously president and CEO of Reliant Energy and he founded Reaching Higher Iowa, an organization which advocates to improve the state’s public education.
Jacobs also launched a website as part of his campaign.
