The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum has events planned to observe the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address.

The editorial board of a Pennsylvania newspaper recently retracted its predecessor’s famous panning of President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address as “silly remarks.”

A vigil and viewing of the address is free and open to the public at the museum, 212 N. Sixth Street in Springfield, Illinois on Monday evening, November 18, 2013.

Lincoln presenter Richard “Fritz” Klein will speak the same famous words delivered by President Abraham Lincoln on a battlefield near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  The museum planned to stream Klein’s speech live at midnight the night of November 18.
