Davenport leaders update the city’s RiverVision plan

Davenport leaders begin Phase Two of their RiverVision project Monday, November 18th, 2013.

The RiverVision project will include plans for updating the city’s riverfront. City leaders have approved plans for a new Dock restaurant. Local developer Todd Raufeisen wants to make a $25 million development that includes restaurants, office space, and a banquet hall.

They would also like to move the Rhythm City Casino off of land and onto water. That process has been a little more challenging though, as the Riverboat Development Authority and city leaders have argued for at least a month.

Three different architectural firms will present their plans for the riverfront Monday. The city’s selection team will likely narrow down the firms after the meeting. The meeting starts at 8:15 a.m. at River Music Experience. The city council will likely choose an architect at its meeting on
