Police were called to a report of an attempted child abduction near 275th Street west of 115th Avenue, north of Donahue, Iowa just before 5 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013.

Police say a man in a grey minivan approached a boy on a bicycle and “grabbed (the boy) by the arm in an attempt to pull him into the van.”

The suspect was described as a 40- to 50-year-old white man with dark hair, 6-feet tall, and about 200 to 250 pounds.  He was wearing a plaid, black and red flannel-type shirt and ripped jeans.

Officials say the man was in a grey or silver Ford minivan with a white a license plate and red lettering. There is also some damage to the vehicle.

Police say if you have any information call the Scott County Sheriff’s Office. If you see the described vehicle call 911.

Why would that be BS? You think a kid is too stupid to notice things like that? In the 6th grade I was a cross guard and one day this guy was paying attention to his radio more than driivng. He almost hit me with his car but I was able to move out of the way just in time. I was able to remember his license plate number, car make, and model. Needless to say he caught later that day by police and given a hefty fine.
