Charges have been brought against the drama director at a Dixon performing arts school.

Charges have been brought against the drama director at a Dixon performing arts school.

According to Dixon Police Chief Danny Langloss, Viva! Performing Arts Director of Drama Tim Boles is being charged with Failure to Report Abuse or Neglect- a Class ‘A’ Misdemeanor.

On November 4, 2013, 31-year-old Robert Campbell was accused of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and was arrested. Police say the alleged abuse occurred during the summer of 2012.

Police say the victim told Boles about the abuse in the Spring of 2013.  Boles reportedly "did not contact the Department of Children and Family Services, as mandated reporters are required to do by law."

Dixon Police Department said 51-year-old Boles was arrested around 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, November 16. He posted $5,000 bond and was released with a pending December court date.

Campbell was also out on bond and awaiting trial.

The previously-operational website for Viva School of Performing Arts was taken down as of Monday, November 18.
