Moline has the green light to start constructing a new Amtrak station.
Moline’s Aldermen have reached an agreement with the developer. Now that an agreement has been made, the City of Moline has the go-ahead to begin spending money on the train station, according to QC Online.
During a meeting on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 Aldermen outlined a development plan. As well as the station, the development company would like to build an extended-stay hotel and shops in the facility.
The station will be built at 12th Street and 4th Ave. and is expected to be in service in 2015.
